Remote Guests

Covid-19, or The Big Tree in the Road

In less than a month, Elli and I are getting married.  That thought alone sends my heart on a wild road trip through the wilderness of excitement, anticipation, love and happiness. We had originally planned a much bigger wedding, but the realities of Covid-19 demanded significant changes.  To continue my road trip metaphor, some of these changes could be described as small potholes, and others are more like giant redwood trees toppled over in the road, forcing us to rethink our journey.

By far, the reduction of so many of our friends and family from being physically present on our special day is the biggest felled tree we have come across. It’s made every conversation and every decision much harder.  However, technology provides us a few signposts to find an alternative route.  For the many people who will not be able to join us in person, we want you to know that your love and your well wishes for our marriage mean the world to us. Even if we can’t all be physically together on November 7th, 2020, we hope that you’ll join us in being a remote guest. Here are the key pieces of information related to remote guests.

Streaming the Ceremony

We are streaming the ceremony, and you can find all the details of that on our creatively titled “Stream the Ceremony” page.
